ROKU´s Firefly is available for Mac ,Linux and Windows and supports MP3, AAC, WMA, FLAC and OggVorbis. Hopefully Nokia will expand it´s codec support as well.
Downloadlinks can be found on this page.
Well , thanks for that correction, since I am covering servers I also meant to write that word .

Firefly is not a streaming Client but a DAAP Streaming Server based on mt-daap.
I don’t understand where the story is.
Beside the Server/Client thing, there is (unfortunately) no DAAP client available for maemo.

Hi, now it makes sense.
I would really like to have a DAAP Client for maemo.
Does anyone know about any effords towards this?
I checked the situation on the python side. There are rudimentary libs for daap and rendevouz/bonjour.
This would be unfortunately my first python project and my first gui project at all.
And i have atm. not verry much time and no steady interenet connection at home.
So if anyone would take the chance…
DAAP would be a much nicer and sleeker protocoll than UPnP.

pssst- there’s 2 DAAP clients for the 770 now- Rhythmbox has DAAP support, and there’s a port to Maemo lurking around the web, but no direct download link that I could find.
The other is Canola- hit the Maemo Application Catalog and search for the install instructions.
